Desert Storm 2: Back to Baghdad is the sequel to Desert Storm. I thought that it was pretty good for a war game. I liked most of the game, but there were some aspects that I did not like.

Desert Storm 2 takes place during the first Desert Storm in Iraq. You can choose to play as either the americans or the british. You have been sent to Iraq to fight the Iraqi army that has been taking oil refineries from the country of Kuwait and destroying them because Kuwait is helping the americans. Throughout the game, you travel all over the country of Iraq and fight key battles that helped the americans win the war.

In this game, you play as a team of four marines. It does not matter who you choose to play as, you will always play as the same four people. Each member of you team is specialized in a certain area. One soldier is a sniper, one is good at demolitions, another guy is good at fighting the enemy head on and one guy is good at medicine.

One of the things that I liked about this game is that as you progressed through the game, your teams stats increased. If you played as a certain character more than the others, that characters' stats would increase more than the others. As the soldiers increase in level, they become more adept in battle. For example, if you use your medic alot, he will become better at healing and when you use him to heal someone else, more health will be restored to that person.

Another great thing about this game is that you can give orders to your team. There are four orders that you can use.

If you press up on the d-pad, you will tell your team to form up. When you press left on the d-pad, you will tell your team to not to attack unless you do. Or if you press right on the d-pad, your team will attack any enemy they see. If you press down on the d-pad, you will tell your team to stay where they are.

I also like the weapons that you can use in this game. Your team always starts off with the same weapons. Your sniper get a springfield, your medic gets a m-16, your demolition man uses a shotgun, and the rifle man uses a fifty calibur. Of course, you can find better weapons to use. A few of these weapons are an AK-47, a rocket launcher, or a better version of the springfield.

Another thing that I liked about Desert Storm2 is that you can trade weapons and items between your team members. This comes in handy when one member of your team is low on somehting. Say your medic is low on medpacs and your sniper has fifty of them. You can move you sniper next to the medic, press a button, select the medpacs, and decide how many medpacs to give to your medic. I thought that this was the best feature of the game.

The only thing that I did not like about this game is that when you shoot, the person you are playing as locks on to the closest enemy in front of you. I hated this because there may be an enemy soldier behind you that can kill you because you were locked on to someone in front of you.

The graphics for Desert Storm 2 were pretty good. They were pretty realistic compared to other games on the market. I liked how the designers paid close attention to even the little details. There was nothing in the game that did not look like it should. Everything was colored the way that it is in real life. Nothing looked fake, at least to me.

The sound for this game was very good. The guns sounded real, the vehicles sounded real and the people in the game sounded real. When you shoot a gun, it sounds so real. It makes you feel as though you are really shooting the weapon. If a vehicle was coming toward you, you could hear it. And just from the sound, you could tell what kind of vehicle it was. I think that that designers did the best jobs on the voices of the people in the game. The Iraqi soldiers really spoke Arabic and the screams sounded real when you killed someone.

All together, I thought that this was a great game and would recommend it to anyone who likes shooters and war games.
