Shark Season Two, Episode One: Gangster Movies
As an opening episode, it foretells great things for the rest of the season.
Review by Sirus

Shark had a great start last season thanks to its wonderful cast that really defined the show and helped it stand out among the crowded field of crime dramas. Last season had its share of twists and turns as well as enough character drama in the relationship between Sebastian Stark (James Woods) and his daughter Julie (played by the ultra cute Danielle Panabaker). The members of Stark’s team who survived the first season are back and as awesome as ever along with a new District Attorney and a new liaison at the Organized Crime Unit (OCU). So far the new District Attorney is bearable and the OCU liaison seems to fit in well with the rest of the cast.

In the first episode of the second season of Shark, we watch as an investigation of a double homicide goes south through connections with the Russian mob situated in LA and the fear and deaths that come with it. The episode was moderately predictable with some of the main case. At the same time, the show was setup for what can hopefully be another awesome season full of just the right amount of character drama and focus on the cases. The episode solidifies Stark’s old boss, who failed to win the DA position towards the end of last season, and Julie as full time characters whom I will welcome gladly. While the first episode could have been better in the execution of the case, I can’t see it improving too much. As an opening episode, it foretells great things for the rest of the season which I have high hopes for.

Final Score: 8/10
