Many people in the movie world are always ranting on and on about how much sequels suck blah blah blah. Saw 1 and Saw 2 were both interesting horror movies in their own right with a good amount of gore but they turned away too much. Saw 3 takes off where the second movie left off and takes you through a gripping story about forgiveness and living your life to the fullest without letting your past change you. Certain characters from the first 2 movies make their return and a lot of the holes in the first two movies are filled through flashbacks.

Without spoiling any of the gleefully sickening gruesome gore filled deaths, Saw 3 is everything that a horror fanatic could ask for. It is one of the goriest movies I have ever seen while at the same time having a message underneath it all. It leaves you satisfied in the end while at the same time leaving room for a sequel which has already been announced. Fans of horror owe it to themselves to see this movie and buy the three hour directors cut on DVD when it is finally released. Viewers who get queasy during CSI should be warned that as mentioned above, the movie is extremely graphic, gruesome, and brutal and the camera rarely turns away. There is also one scene with nudity that is not sexual in any way. This is the must see horror movie of the year.

Final Score:5/5 stars
