It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia: Aluminum Monster Vs. Fatty Magoo
Mac and Frank open a sweatshop in the basement of Paddy's.
Review by Dack

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia is by far the funniest show on TV. With the exception of the unique and inventive Flight of the Conchords, nothing even comes close to touching it in terms of humor in a comedy. Season one of It's Always Sunny has some extremely memorable episodes that were so well-done, the show attracted the talent of Danny DeVito. After the amazing, but short season one, season two gained a massive amount of popularity. The show did differ a bit from the first season, though. Danny Devito is featured as much, or more than other characters, resulting in making the show loose a little bit of the innocence the young foursome previously had. Luckily, Danny DeVito's character Frank is hilarious, and the plot lines worked so perfectly, the show didn't have a bad episode it's whole season two run. Now, we are on season three, a season that so far has managed to top season two with original stories that have never been dull.

This episode, Aluminum Monster vs. Fatty Magoo is by far the best episode this season. While at a clothing store, Dee meets a high school "friend" who used to be very fat, and was insultingly called "Fatty Magoo" in High School. We learn that while in High School, Dee and Fatty Magoo were two of the most unpopular girls. Dee had the nickname "Aluminum Monster" in result of her having a large metal back brace. Dee talked about how she would be a famous designer when she graduated from high school, in an attempt to lower Fatty Magoo's hopes even lower, so that there would be someone even more pathetic than Dee. Her plan backfired, and Fatty Magoo became a designer and opened up her own clothing boutique. To get back at her, Dee decides to design an amazing dress that will top anything Fatty Magoo has come up with.

The gang gets in on the idea, with Dennis trying to sell Fatty the dress prototype. Dennis lies and says that she ordered dresses from him. To meet the demand, Mac and Frank open a sweatshop in the basement of Paddy's. The sweatshop scenes are some of the funniest scenes ever on It's Always Sunny. Mac and Frank hire a bunch of European immigrants to work the sweatshop, and employ Charlie, who they are trying to break like a dog, literally. To make the production go faster, they pipe in German war propoganda over loudspeakers, and install a steam whistle.

If season three continues along this path, not only will the show have continually improved, but it could become the first show since Seinfeld not to have a bad episode.

Final Score: 9.5/10
