Celebrating 3 years in business!
Flight of the Conchords - Flight of the Conchords
Funny lyrics meets good music.
Review by Dack

It's business time for Flight of the Conchords. After gaining much recognition and success in America after their hit HBO show and their millions upon millions of YouTube views, the two kiwis have finally recorded a full album. Signing with the fantastic indie label Sup Pop -- who handled their grammy award winning LP -- Flight of the Conchords have delivered all of their songs in high quality (without audience laughter!), but does anything get lost in translation?

If you've seen Season One of the show, you've pretty much already heard the entire album's songs. Although some have been remastered and the tempos have been changed, you won't be surprised by anything here. The main purpose of this album is to bring together all of these beloved songs in one easy package, stopping you from the wasted minutes searching for them on YouTube every day. There's really not a bad song on the self-titled album, from Robots, which features the hilarious chorus: “The humans are dead! The humans are dead! We used poisonous gases, and poisoned their asses.” to a realistic tale of a night of passion in Business Time. There's constant laughs to be had. But, the best part about Flight of the Conchords is that the music is actually good! It has a great beat and melody and is actually something that would be good if it were not funny. Stand up comedy albums can get annoying because, well, how many times can you hear talking without getting bored? But with the jokes integrated into the songs, it's something you can always listen to.

Flight of the Conchords have put out a very fun album that, even though has no new material, brings all of their great tunes together in a sleek case. It's an obvious buy for any Conchord or comedy fan.
