Don't Forget the Lyrics: Episode 3
Please. No more FOX reality shows.
Review by Dack

Ah, Fox. While good dramas are being canceled almost weekly, terrible, garbage reality shows are being born faster than ABC can rip them off. Don't Forget the Lyrics is the latest reality show to be ejaculated from the dicks at Fox. The show isn't terrible, at least when compared to 'groundbreaking' shows like "Are you Smarter than a 5th Grader" or "On the Lot", but "Lyrics" seems like the same reality show that we've already become sick of five times before.

The show first seemed liked it could be alright. I was glad it's running time was only thirty minutes, until I found out that the next night the same person would be on continuing their game for an additional half hour, which is such a bad idea. The first episode of "Lyrics" wasn't terrible. It was pretty bland, but it was fun. Everyone sing a song, and see if you can remember it. Well, we're three episodes in now, and it's already become stale and repetitive. There's just no real compassion in there for the player. They get to go on TV, sing songs, and win lots of money. Trivia shows test you on how much knowledge you've learned, but this show just throws money at people that are smart enough to turn on a radio. Wayne Brady is a lackluster host. He hasn't really had much of a career since "Who's line is it anyway" went off the air, "Lyrics" being proof of that. He seems uncomfortable a lot, like he's being forced to act a certain way. This weeks episode, a middle aged man, who actually is a decent singer, does the best out of anyone so far on the show. But does he lose? Who knows!? You'll have to tune in tommorow. You know how it's annoying when a show you like is a two-parter? Imagine that, but on every episode.

"Don't Forget the Lyrics" is a summer replacement show, thankfully, but summer replacement shows are usually interesting. This show is just boring, annoying, and is becoming more and more of an awful show that deserves to be canceled in favor of more unscripted shows.

Final Score: 3/10
