Best Sports Game

Overall by Leonhart:
Winner: Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08
I may be a bit biased since I’m an avid fan of golf, but Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 was my favorite sport game of 2007. Whether you play the Wii version with glorious Wiimote controls or the other versions with superior graphics and extremely smooth gameplay, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 will not disappoint.
Runner Up: NBA Street Homecourt

Best Fighting Game

Leonhart:
Winner: Guilty Gear XX Accent Core
Show me a man who says 2D fighting games are dead and I’ll show you a man who needs a hadouken to the face. Proving once again that 2D fighting games can outshine even the most recent of 3D fighters, Guilty Gear XX Accent Core’s fluid, fast, and fun gameplay and beautiful art makes it the best fighting game of 2007.
Runner Up: Virtua Fighter 5

Dack:
Winner: Virtua Fighter 5
Great fighting mechanics and the 360's finely tuned online mode make one of the few fighting games of the year shine.
Runner Up: Neo Geo Battle Coliseum

Overall:
Winner: Guilty Gear XX Accent Core
Runner Up: Virtua Fighter 5

Best Racing Game

Leonhart:
Winner: Project Gotham Racing 4
There is something about Project Gotham Racing 4 that just screams “polished”. Maybe it’s the pretty graphics, or the responsive controls. Maybe it’s the fact that you can choose from ten different weather settings and all have a noticeable effect on your driving. Maybe it’s the fact that the selection of vehicles is vast and even includes motorcycles. Maybe it’s the fact that all these things combined equates to a marvelous racing game!
Runner Up: SEGA Rally Revo

Winner: Project Gotham Racing 4
Runner Up: Burnout Dominator

Overall:
Winner: Project Gotham Racing 4
Runner Up: SEGA Rally Revo

Best Online Game

Leonhart:
Winner: Kane & Lynch: Dead Men
I can’t get enough of Kane & Lynch’s online gameplay. All players start as criminals and work together to rob a bank. After doing so, you have the choice to either escape as a team and share the cash, or betray your fellow thieves and keep all the cash to yourself. This unique concept often results in hilarious and/or angering moments, and I can’t stop coming back for more.
Runner Up: The Orange Box

Dack:
Winner: Warhawk
Even after online problems at launch, Warhawk remained one of the most populated online PS3 games. Great graphics, gameplay and awesome clan/teams support made Warhawk the best online game of the year.
Runner Up: Halo 3

Overall:
Winner: Warhawk
Runner Up: Kane & Lynch: Dead Men

Best Game Soundtrack

Leonhart:
Winner: Folklore
Folklore features an extremely atmospheric soundtrack that perfectly matches the game’s mood and environments. 2007’s best soundtrack was a real treat to experience.
Runner Up: Super Mario Galaxy

Sirus:
Winner: Odin Sphere
Odin Sphere was a fantastic game but its soundtrack was even better. While it was composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto and some of his fellow composers that recently formed a company named Basiscape, it stands out among their previous works as a truly fabulous one. The variety present in the music is just wonderful.
Runner Up: Blue Dragon

Dack:
Winner: Super Mario Galaxy
Simply Beautiful. Remixes of old Mario songs on top of dozens of new classics -- you'll be humming Super Mario Galaxy tunes throughout your day.
Runner Up: Odin Sphere

Overall:
Winner: Super Mario Galaxy
Runner Up: Odin Sphere

Most Overlooked Game

Leonhart:
Winner: Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure
2007’s Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure was a revival of the classic graphical adventure games made popular in the early 90’s by LucasArts. Extremely entertaining, imaginative, and down-right nostalgic, Zack & Wiki confirmed that reviving a classic and long-dead genre can have amazing results. But I’m afraid that the graphical adventure genre has been dead too long for many current gamers to remember, because Zack & Wiki didn’t exactly sell well despite great reviews. Thank heavens Capcom is making a sequel regardless.
Runner Up: Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire

Dack:
Winner: Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure
Runner Up: Silent Hill Origins

Overall:
