Celebrating 3 years in business!
Arctic Monkeys
"Favorite Worst Nightmare" not only has a great album name, but also contains a great cut of tracks.
Review by Dack

After only a one year recess, Arctic Monkeys are back and trying to continue the riot they've made in rock music. The first Arctic Monkeys album "Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not" was defenetly one of the best albums of 2006, with memorable cuts such as "A Certain Romance" and "I Bet You Look Good on the Dance Floor", but going past the fact that the album was danceable, it also made sense as an album, creating a story of a wild night out. The Arctic Monkeys debut album was so brilliant, many were afraid that they would suffer the sophomore curse of many great bands. That however is not the case, with the release of an amazing sophomore album that will be as highly, or more regarded as their first.

"Favorite Worst Nightmare" not only has a great album name, but also contains a great cut of tracks. Beginning with the most powerful song on the album, "Brainstorm". The song is very much reminiscent of "I Bet You Look Good on the Dance Floor", as being a powerful, humorous, and danceable song. Like their prior album, the next song "Teddy Pickers" is a catchy song with some awesome guitar riffs that leads perfectly into the powerful "D is for Dangerous". Unlike their debut album, the tenderest cut "Fluorescent Adolescent" is in the middle of the album, not the final song. The middle three songs of the album are great songs, all leading into each other, until a great final three song cut, all slower, but still hard. "The Bad Thing" defiantly packs the most beat out of all of the songs, despite being just a little over two minutes. The album has it's finale with the slow, yet upbeat "505", an amazing song that can rival my personal favorite from last album, "A Certain Romance".

"Favorite Worst Nightmare" is a great follow-up album, furthering Arctic Monkeys spot as one of the best rock bands of this decade.

Final Score: 9.2/10
